Blog Verdadera Locura

About the Project
Verdadera Locura is a digital magazine that celebrates culture in all its forms — from music, literature, and poetry to film, TV series, theater, art, and comics. It embraces culture not just as content, but as a way of life.
Originally launched as a WordPress.com blog, the project needed a serious upgrade to match its evolving vision. My main role was to lead a full-scale migration: transferring all content — including images, posts, tags, and comments — to a new, fully customized platform that captured the bold and dynamic identity they were aiming for.
The magazine is structured around five key sections: interviews, news, chronicles, photo reports, and feature stories. Its visual identity is fun, vibrant, and approachable — perfectly in tune with its creative and energetic spirit.
Needs
- The complete migration of all content from the existing WordPress.com blog to a new and more sophisticated platform.
- Transforming the blog into a cutting-edge digital magazine means that the website needs to handle increased content volume, traffic, and multimedia elements like videos, high-resolution images, and interactive features. Ensuring the site remains fast, responsive, and scalable as content grows.
- Ensure that the digital magazine is optimised for search engines is critical for attracting new readers.
Challenges
- Evolve from a simple blog to a dynamic digital magazine.
- Categorise and present content so that readers can easily find what interests them while exploring new and diverse topics.
- Maintain a consistent tone, style, and branding across all sections.
- Features like comments, social media integration, and newsletters must be designed to encourage active participation from readers.
- The magazine must be accessible and visually appealing across all devices, including desktops, tablets, and smartphones.
